Genesis House will partner with different agencies to travel around the county, on a regularly scheduled route. The bus will bring visual awareness to people as it drives from site to site. It will broadcast that there is help available. The bus will become an identifiable and familiar symbol of women’s services.

A Genesis House staff person will be present along with a representative from different social service agencies. For example, we will have: a mental health therapist to do depression screenings, a nurse practitioner doing blood pressure screenings and giving information on different women’s health topics, someone giving information on birth control/family planning, drugs and alcohol.

The POWER BUS will go to libraries, the mall, health fairs, schools and stores. It will be accessible at Community Days and festivals that are published in the Lorain County Visitors Bureau. The schedule will be published in the community calendars of the newspapers, cable stations and public bulletins.
