The Festival!

This is a festivity for young and old, family and friends… everyone is invited!  The evening provides an opportunity for attendees to purchase custom decorated trees and wreaths, get their picture taken with Santa, try a chance at the many raffles with winners announced throughout the evening, and enjoy desserts while mingling and enjoying the holiday festivities.

 

Who does the Festival Benefit?

This year’s fundraiser will enable Genesis House to expand on our wide range of services to the women and children of domestic violence. Without your help these victims would have nowhere to turn for shelter, counseling, advocacy, education and alternatives to their current lifestyles. It will also support our Outreach efforts in the community. Awareness is the first step in stopping domestic violence.  We need your help to educate and support our community.

 

Why is the Festival Important?

The Festival helps to raise awareness of the devastating nature of domestic violence while raising funds to support the shelter and services we provide for those in our community who live with abuse.  The women and children who come to Genesis House live without something most people take for granted—personal safety.  They usually leave everything they have or know behind in their search for a safe place to live.  Genesis House offers a place they can feel relaxed and safe, while providing support and advocacy. 

 

A free will donation can be accepted at the front door.  By supporting this event you are helping to guarantee that a few more women and children are kept safe and able to move on to the next chapter in their life.
